Our heartiest congratulations to Brian and his son Adrian, who met for the first time in Cork on 20 September. Brian, an AdoptionIreland Mailing List member since March of this year, used a combination of support from the Mailing List, our Tracing Guides, the amazing help and advice from partner organisation Know My Own in Cork, and his own intestinal fortitude and determination to find his beloved son. Adrian is also now a member of the Mailing List family and we've not surpisingly found, like his father, Adrian is a caring and compassionate young man. After many frustrating attempts to locate his son, we are so pleased to report this stunning outcome and wish them both the very best. |
Congratulations to Jackie who recently found and met with her natural father. Already reunited with her mother using support from our Mailing List and Tracing Guide, Jackie it thrilled with this burgeoning new relationship. |
Congratulations to Sandra E. and her husband, who recently found his natural mother, half-siblings and located his father! Sandra had been helping her husband using support from our Mailing List and our wonderful 'Search Angels'. Proof positive that even spouses and partners are affected by adoption and often provide the necessary assistance in a trace.
Best wishes to Mary who has just learned through her agency that her natural mother is eager to meet her! Using support from our Mailing List, Mary mustered the courage to contact her agency, with very positive results. |
Very best wishes to Lorna, who found and met her mother in early February! Lorna has been a member of our Mailing List and with this support as well as a helpful agency counselor, was able answer the questions she's had for many years.

Our congratulations to Irene, who found and met her mother this month! Irene made use of our Mailing List and persistence with her agency to locate her mother. And despite delayed contact via the agency, Irene and her mother found a way beyond this blockade and eliminated weeks of waiting. Well done! |
Best wishes to Kath. who reunited with her mother Mary and three half-siblings. Despite being actively discouraged by her agency, Kath forged ahead and using our Tracing Guide, advice from our Mailing List and the abilities of our 'Search Angels' team, she was warmly received by her natural family. Her own mother has even suggested they jointly visit the agency to put them straight. Well done, Kath and Mary!
Congratulations to Mary Jean C, who recently found her mum and TEN siblings in Cavan using the Tracing Guide and helpful advice from our Mailing List. They first spoke by phone on 18 October and Mary Jean is scheduled to meet them all this coming 15 January! |
